Fun, Sun, and Learning

Kids Cove Learning Academy (KCLA) supports learning at every age and stage. From infants through Voluntary Pre-K, plus elementary-aged programs, we build up your children to learn well, connect deeply, and enjoy every day. Our infant caregivers use talk, play, and outdoor time to boost development and connection while older children dive into hands-on activities (e.g., language, reading development, counting, colors, play-based studies, arts and crafts, and sports) to grow their skills at an ever-deeper level. Through it all, friendships and fun times abound, allowing kids to practice social skills, solve problems, tackle challenges, and use their gifts to shine.

Further, KCLA utilizes its parent app to give parents and caregivers a real-time peek into their child’s day. Stay connected by receiving updates about naps, meals, play, and learning activities via web, email, or text message, or communicate with teachers via web, mobile device, or smartphone.

Infants

Our KCLA caregivers are experts in providing comfort and stability. We realize that babies are unique, with their own needs, preferences, and schedules, so we make sure to follow their leads to ensure they’re relaxed, supported, and engaged.

  • Enjoy a low infant-to-staff ratio of 4:1 with trained care providers who offer consistent, loving attention
  • Rest easy with personal cribs that meet Federal Consumer Product Safety Commission standards as well as separate changing, eating, and play areas, with cleaning/disinfecting standards that exceed state licensing sanitary requirements
  • Depend on CPR- and First Aid-certified teachers and staff
  • Utilize KCLA’s childcare app for real-time reports on your child’s day

Toddlers

Curious, observant, and sometimes headstrong, our toddlers love to dig into learning. Every day provides a new opportunity to explore while developing friendships and self-esteem.

  • Rely on small, focused class sizes
  • Learn via teacher- and child-directed play-based activities, plus rest time
  • Strengthen important skills (identifying letters and colors, using utensils, playing outdoors)
  • Utilize KCLA’s childcare app for real-time reports on your child’s day

Preschool

Ninety percent of a child’s brain is developed by age five! That’s why preschool—with critically important cognitive, physical, and socio-emotional stimulation—impacts a child’s development long-term. Preschool helps produce:

  • Higher high school graduation rates
  • Reduced instances of crime or teen pregnancy
  • Greater socialization and earning potential throughout their lives

With full-time and part-time options to best meet your family’s needs, KCLA keeps three-year-olds busy with opportunities to learn, play, explore, gain gross- and fine motor skills, and socialize with new friends.

  • Learn developmentally appropriate tasks
  • Gain control over movements and skills
  • Strengthen group interaction and socialization
  • Boost emotional development, problem-solving, and school readiness

Voluntary Pre-K

Florida VPK prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond by using educational materials corresponding to various stages of development. Eligible children must live in Florida and be four years old on/before September 1 of the current school year.

  • Customize learning instruction for language and literacy; physical, social and emotional development; mathematic and scientific inquiry; and creative expression through the arts
  • Monitor skills progression after assessing baseline learning levels
  • Equip parents to assist their children via learning resources
  • Help kids to perform better in school and throughout life

Elementary-Aged Programs

KCLA offers before- and after-school services for children at several local K-6 schools. We also offer school-age summer camp with fields trips and special classroom activities.

  • Provide transportation to and from our learning centers
  • Offer homework assistance (as needed) from our trained educators
  • Ensure snacks, free time, socialization and outdoor play are available to all

Summer Camp

Summer Camp is all about exploring the world around us and learning about people, places, and things that many of us have only seen on TV or in books.

Campers have the flexibility to select from a variety of exciting topics that will take them on incredible journeys to far-off destinations where they will learn about people such as Louis Armstrong, places like the Great Wall of China, and things such as the Eiffel Tower!
